What if I have questions?

We are here to help through this process.  Please keep in mind that support for the Habyts app will no longer be available after June 22, 2020.

What will happen to my family data?

While we are required to retain certain information for financial accounting purposes, we will be anonymising all settings and usage data, and in particular, removing details about children’s identities.

We are keeping all email addresses as we are anticipating sending out further newsletters and blogs in the future. However, if you wish to unsubscribe, please click here.

How do I explain to my kids that their Habytars will no longer be accessible?

Ah, we all hold a soft spot for the Habytars and the Habytar collection.  We are trying to think of a way to help these little creatures live on, but haven’t yet come up with it.

But, rest assured, all of the Haytars will be given a safe home.

What other products can I use?

We created Habyts to fill gaps in the market we identified based on our own experience and user feedback.  Unfortunately, there’s nothing exactly like Habyts, but Common Sense Media provides a Guide to Parental Controls that you may want to look at for direction.

How will my subscription be handled?

On June 8, 2020, we ceased charging any accounts for the use of Habyts.

If you are a yearly subscriber, we will refund to you on a pro rata basis from the June 22, 2020, the remaining portion of your current annual subscription.

We will fully refund those who subscribed with monthly subscriptions after May 22, 2020.

What happens after June 22, 2020?

After June 22, 2020, Habyts will no longer be available to use.  This means that:

  • All screen time management and filtering controls will no longer function.
  • The Parent and Child Dashboards will not be accessible.

After that time, the Habyts team will no longer be available to support this app.

As a current user (trial or paid), what should I do next?

Please uninstall Habyts from all of your devices prior to June 22, 2020.  The instructions for doing so by platform are here: https://habyts.com/habyts-uninstall
